Vidno

A map of problems and the coordination of action, in one product.

Launching soon

What this is

Vidno puts two things in one product that are usually kept apart: seeing a problem and doing something about it. A problem starts as a pin on a map, with a photo and a place. What was a private complaint becomes a visible fact that others can confirm.

From there the work moves to people. A group takes the problem on, and the discussion ends in a decision: what is done, who is responsible, by when, and from which shared fund. Vidno is in development. The platform does not solve problems and does not vouch for anyone. It records what was seen, what was decided and who did it.

Who it is for

  • Residents who see a problem in their street, yard or building and want it on record
  • Neighbours who want to deal with a shared problem together
  • Local groups that need a clear list of decisions, owners and deadlines
  • Anyone who has reported a problem once and watched nothing happen

How it works

  1. Someone places a pin on the map with a photo and a location. The problem is now visible and dated.
  2. Others who see it too say so and discuss it under the pin. One report becomes a shared fact.
  3. A group forms to take the problem on.
  4. The group records a decision with an owner, a deadline and a shared fund. Progress is visible to everyone.

What is already there

  • Pins on a map with a photo and geolocation
  • "I see it too" confirmations from other people
  • Discussion attached to each problem

In progress

  • Public launch of the map
